Tailor a CV to a specific job -
it is vital to ensure the script is relevant to each job application, rather than sending the same generic CV.

Keep it simple -
it should be easy to read and use active language. Two pages of A4 is enough with a mini profile included in the first half page of the CV.

Include key information -
personal details, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence should be clear. A date of birth is no longer needed, owing to age discrimination rules. A photo is only essential for jobs such as acting and modelling, otherwise it is a matter of choice.

Showcase achievements -
offer evidence of how targets were exceeded and ideas created, but always be honest.

Check and double check -
avoid sloppy errors, take a fresh look the next day and ask for a second opinion from a trusted friend or colleague.

To work within a busy estate agents in Battersea Park undertaking administrative duties which include: dealing with walk-in enquiries; coordinating property viewings and booking meetings; responding to queries by phone and email; ensuring stationary levels are upkept at all times; scanning, filing and other clerical duties. The role is working alternate Saturdays on a permanent basis. Hours: 10am - 3pm. Rate of pay: £11 - £12 per hour.
  Trainee Accounts Assistant

A newly created position with a fast growing and vibrant accountancy firm based in Bromley (BR2), looking to employ a candidate who is looking to become an Accountant. The firm is offering full training as well as funding towards AAT qualifications whilst working. Would suit a school or college leaver. Salary: £16,000 per annum. Start date: January 2024. Hours: 9am - 5pm.
  Admin / PA Staff for Local Authorities
Brent, Kensington, Bromley, Merton, Lewisham, Lambeth, Islington and Camden

All grades of office staff required for various long term, temporary office vacancies with local authorities in Central London and the South East. Previous council experience is beneficial although is not essential. Pay scale is dependent on role/experience. These positions are suitable for both graduates and experienced council administrators and are available on both a part time and full time basis. Corporate Receptionists
Greater and Central London

Required at various shared office spaces, residential and council buildings across London both on a full time or part time temporary basis. Corporate experience is desirable but not essential. Dress code is smart, corporate office attire. Receptionist are required on a constant basis but must be flexible with regards their availability. Hours required: 8am – 5pm, 9am – 6pm, 7am – 7pm (subject to variation). Rate of pay: £10 - £11 per hour (dependant on assignment).

  Temporary Mailroom Operatives
Central London

Required 8 to 40 hours (1-5 days) per week to work at various sites in Central London. Hours can vary between: 7am – 4pm, 8am – 5pm, & 9am – 6pm. Would suit experienced staff as well as students looking to work during college/university breaks. Rate of pay: £10 per hour.

  Business Support Officers (Social Care, House, Education)
Local Authorities in Greater London

Various levels of experienced Business Support and PA staff required to work on 3 – 12 month temporary contract with various local authorities in Greater London. Full time (36 hours) and part time (30 hours or less) positions are available with salaries starting at London Living Wage and upwards dependant on the requirements of the role.
