Tailor a CV to a specific job -
it is vital to ensure the script is relevant to each job application, rather than sending the same generic CV.

Keep it simple -
it should be easy to read and use active language. Two pages of A4 is enough with a mini profile included in the first half page of the CV.

Include key information -
personal details, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence should be clear. A date of birth is no longer needed, owing to age discrimination rules. A photo is only essential for jobs such as acting and modelling, otherwise it is a matter of choice.

Showcase achievements -
offer evidence of how targets were exceeded and ideas created, but always be honest.

Check and double check -
avoid sloppy errors, take a fresh look the next day and ask for a second opinion from a trusted friend or colleague.

Reprographics Supervisor -
Central London


Salary: £28,500 plus a shift allowance of £1500. Working in the legal services sector. Advanced reprographics skills required; experience of supervising a team; experience of managing HR cases on site; excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to motivate others and develop an excellent team work ethic and environment. Hours: 7am-4pm and 12pm-11pm (shifts rotating each week). Bonus: Up to 5% per year. Contract type: Permanent.

Planner -

Bromley


Rate of pay: £23.40 per hour. Town Planner to work in a Facilities Management & Building Services within the Bromley borough. Essential personal specifications: development control experience; experience of effective consultation techniques; eligible for chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and/or other professional qualification; detailed knowledge of relevant Town Planning legislation, practice and government guidance. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and also use their initiative. Must have excellent analytical skills. Contract length: 8 months (minimum). Hours per week: 36.

 



 
School Crossing Attendants -
Bromley, Orpington, Biggin Hill


Rate of pay: £9.63 per hour. Part time School Crossing Attendants required to work with various junior/primary schools in the Bromley borough assisting children across the road before and after school during term time. The role will be for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (10 hours per week). Full training will be provided. A recent enhanced DBS check will be required.

Officer -

Bromley


Rate of pay: £14.03 per hour. To support and assist the Principal Tree Officer in considering works to trees that are subject to Conservation Area and Tree Preservation Order (TPO) legislation. Principal tasks include undertaking inspections of proposed works, preparing reports and making recommendations to the Principal Tree Officer. Good report taking, customer service skills and good IT skills are required. Nature of contract: temporary. Length of contract: 3 months (at least).

Salary: £35,000 per annum. To work between three sites within the same locality in Central London. To manage all cleaning activities/ operations ensuring that the Key Performance Indicators, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction targets are achieved or increased thereby contributing to the business’s overall revenue profit goals set by the company. The role will be managing a multi function division and will be directly responsible for the Housekeeping team. To manage all aspects of the division and a team. Must be extremely flexible in approach and be prepared to work in highly pressured environments whilst remaining focused on the task at hand – always striving to deliver excellent customer derive in all departments. Management of 15-30 staff would also be required. Company phone and laptop will be provided. Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays.

  Part Time Payroll Administrator -
Bromley Common


Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata).  Working with a firm of accountants, preparing payrolls for up to 120 clients, handling queries from HMRC and dealing with auto-enrolment. Experience of Sage payroll is essential. The successful candidate would be the primary payroll administrator for the company but will be assisted by the team as and when required. There will be room for negotiation on the hours with the client but an amount of flexibility would be required. Start date: 1st August 2018.

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum depending on experience plus excellent benefits of 30 days holiday per annum including bank holidays, pension scheme, etc. The role is Monday to Friday full time, 37.5 hours per week, ideally 9am to 5:30pm each day but can do flexi if needed. Candidate will be working as part of a team of seven staff preparing client payrolls for over 1000 clients: dealing with Auto enrolment; dealing with clients by email and telephone; dealing with HMRC queries; IRIS payroll software (experience desirable but not essential). Previous payroll experience is essential. Type on contract: Permanent. Start date: August 2018 with interviews taking place w/c 9th July.

   

   
Traffic Project Engineer -
Bromley


Hourly rate: £22 per hour (36 hours per week). Our client is seeking an experienced transport/project engineer to take responsibility for designing transport projects, including junction improvements, road safety remedial schemes, cycling, pedestrian and bus priority improvements. The post is initially for 6 months but there is the possibility that it could be either extended or made permanent. Main aspects of the job include: being responsible for the design of transport projects through all design stages from concept to detailed design; exercising professional and managerial responsibility, to ensure compliant and safe designs are delivered within budget; defining, coordinating and reporting on projects; evaluation and performance monitoring in respect to traffic and parking projects. The hiring manager will be considering candidates in early July with interviews likely in week commencing 16th July with a view to contract commencement in mid to late August subject to the successful applicant's current situation. Flexible working can be accommodated. Contract length: 6 months with the possibility of an extension.

Rate of pay: £9.25 per hour.
Office cleaners required to work with a large, financial institution in Central London near St. Paul’s. The successful candidates would be required to work either an early morning or a late night shift (no later than midnight). A basic or standard DBS check would be required.

Rate of pay: £8.00 per hour.
Required in all areas of London on both a part time and full time temporary basis, to work within the postrooms of banks, solicitors and letting agents. Would suit students and people looking for additional part time work.



  Housing Allocations Officer -
Bromley


Rate of pay: £14 per hour (approx). Duties would be to ensure that suitable nominations to social, private sector, temporary and supported housing are made within the appropriate timescales and in accordance with legislative requirements, local guidelines and procedures. The ideal candidate should have experience in housing, be able to deal with a heavy and fastpaced workload, have excellent computer literacy and have excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude. The role is temporary for at least 3 months but will most likely be extended and is to work a 36-hour week.

Hourly rate: £20 per hour. Required to work 2-3 days a week (possibly more on occasions) with a primary school in the Orpington area. Working 7- 8 hours per day with flexibility on the working days. Previous experience of working in a school environment is highly desirable as is experience of handling finance and staff recruitment. £20,000 per annum plus 10% bonus scheme. To work for an outdoor advertising company in Waterloo. Main duties to include: the accurate raising and processing of invoices; ensuring stock levels are properly maintained; checking quality of artworks for advertising campaigns; dealing with oil company projects; compiling annual production reports and liaising with clients and customers over the phone and via email. A meticulous approach to work is required to be successful in this role as is a keen eye for detail. Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Start date: Early September 2018.

Salary: £20,000 per annum. Working with a successful Out of Home advertising company in Waterloo, London. Duties to include: offering basic IT support; supplying data quality reports for admin, sales and marketing; managing relations with tech suppliers; merging, activating and deleting accounts; manage fixed line phones and fix/upgrade in liaison with suppliers; liaising with servers and IT suppliers; use of CRM systems and possibly training staff on CRM.
