Tailor a CV to a specific job -
it is vital to ensure the script is relevant to each job application, rather than sending the same generic CV.

Keep it simple -
it should be easy to read and use active language. Two pages of A4 is enough with a mini profile included in the first half page of the CV.

Include key information -
personal details, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence should be clear. A date of birth is no longer needed, owing to age discrimination rules. A photo is only essential for jobs such as acting and modelling, otherwise it is a matter of choice.

Showcase achievements -
offer evidence of how targets were exceeded and ideas created, but always be honest.

Check and double check -
avoid sloppy errors, take a fresh look the next day and ask for a second opinion from a trusted friend or colleague.

Junior Travel Insurance Advisor
Bromley


Junior Travel Insurance Advisor required to work on a permanent basis with a well-established form of insurance brokers in Bromley. The duties would be to help to provide travel insurance cover for people travelling abroad. Thoroughness, excellent telephone manner and good administrative skills are required. Full training and comprehensive will be provided. Would suit school leaver or graduate. Excellent prospects and chance for growth and progression. Hours: 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Starting salary: £18,525 per annum.

  Junior Commercial Insurance Advisor
Bromley


Required to work with an insurance firm in Bromley. Assisting with insurance quotes from new clients, taking instructions and payments and ensuring coverage starts at the appropriate time. Also assisting with renewals, controlling own diary system, assisting with claims and other duties as and when required. Would suit new graduate or school leaver with an interest in financial services. Hours: 9am – 5:30pm. Starting salary: £20,000 per annum. Start date: ASAP.


  Part-time Assembly Line Workers
Beckenham


Temporary Assembly Line Workers required to assemble small communications equipment such as earpieces and microphones. Full training and health and safety briefing will be provided and some soldering may be required once confident with all of the requirements on the role. Good hand eye coordination is essential. Experience in hands on roles as well as soldering experience would be advantageous but not essential. Working hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (16/21 hours per week). Day of work can be flexible. Rate of pay: £10.50 per hour. Start date: ASAP.

Moorgate, Central London


Required to work with an international law firm. Duties include: Assisting with induction of new starter processes; Creation and deletion of visitor passes; Processing of invoices; Regular floor walks and periodical audits to ensure health and safety; Raising building awareness issues with the facilities management team. Hours: 9:30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday. To work 12 weeks as a temporary worker before being transferred to the client’s permanent staff. Salary: £14 per hour / £28,000 per annum.

Minute Takers required to take comprehensive and detailed minutes of panel meetings in a local authority environment. Fast and accurate typing speed required (60 wpm). All contracts will be full time (36 hours per week) for a minimum of 3 - 6 months. Rate of pay: £11.00 - £12.33 per hour.

  Admin / PA Staff for Local Authorities
London & South East


All grades of office staff required for various long term, temporary office vacancies with local authorities in Central London and the South East. Previous council experience is beneficial although is not essential. Pay scale is dependent on role/experience. These positions are suitable for both graduates and experienced council administrators and are available on both a part time and full time basis. Required 8 to 40 hours (1-5 days) per week to work at various sites in Central London. Hours can vary between: 7am – 4pm, 8am – 5pm, & 9am – 6pm. Would suit experienced staff as well as students looking to work during college/university breaks. Rate of pay: £10 per hour.
  Corporate Receptionists
Greater and Central London


Required at various shared office spaces, residential and council buildings across London both on a full time or part time temporary basis. Corporate experience is desirable but not essential. Dress code is smart, corporate office attire. Receptionist are required on a constant basis but must be flexible with regards their availability. Hours required: 8am – 5pm, 9am – 6pm, 7am – 7pm (subject to variation). Rate of pay: £10 - £11 per hour (dependant on assignment).
  Business Support Officers (Social Care, House, Education)
Local Authorities in Greater London


Various levels of experienced Business Support and PA staff required to work on 3 – 12 month temporary contract with various local authorities in Greater London. Full time (36 hours) and part time (30 hours or less) positions are available with salaries starting at London Living Wage and upwards dependant on the requirements of the role.
