Tailor a CV to a specific job -
it is vital to ensure the script is relevant to each job application, rather than sending the same generic CV.

Keep it simple -
it should be easy to read and use active language. Two pages of A4 is enough with a mini profile included in the first half page of the CV.

Include key information -
personal details, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence should be clear. A date of birth is no longer needed, owing to age discrimination rules. A photo is only essential for jobs such as acting and modelling, otherwise it is a matter of choice.

Showcase achievements -
offer evidence of how targets were exceeded and ideas created, but always be honest.

Check and double check -
avoid sloppy errors, take a fresh look the next day and ask for a second opinion from a trusted friend or colleague.

Managers -

Bromley


Salary starting at £20,000 per annum (depending on experience) but can be up to £26,000 per annum. The role will also be commission based with the prospect of an additional £2000 per annum being earned based on performance. Up to 4x Property Managers required to work with a well established and fast expanding firm of estate agents in Bromley. Knowledge of lettings and the current rental market will be essential. The ideal candidate will have experience of building maintenance and portfolio management. Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle is mandatory. Hours: 8:45am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (plus every other Saturday). Start date: ASAP.

West Wickham & Welling


Salary: £18,000 per annum plus uncapped commission. Required to work with a fast expanding and well established firm of estate agents. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, who is target driven and has an excellent work ethic. Knowledge of the current rental market would be highly desirable. Clean driving licence is essential as is the ownership of a car. Start date: ASAP.

Planner -

Bromley


Rate of pay: £23.40 per hour. Town Planner to work in a Facilities Management & Building Services within the Bromley borough. Essential personal specifications: development control experience; experience of effective consultation techniques; eligible for chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and/or other professional qualification; detailed knowledge of relevant Town Planning legislation, practice and government guidance. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and also use their initiative. Must have excellent analytical skills. Contract length: 8 months (minimum). Hours per week: 36.

 



 
School Crossing Attendants -
Bromley, Orpington, Biggin Hill


Rate of pay: £9.63 per hour. Part time School Crossing Attendants required to work with various junior/primary schools in the Bromley borough assisting children across the road before and after school during term time. The role will be for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (10 hours per week). Full training will be provided. A recent enhanced DBS check will be required.

  Tree
Officer -

Bromley


Rate of pay: £14.03 per hour. To support and assist the Principal Tree Officer in considering works to trees that are subject to Conservation Area and Tree Preservation Order (TPO) legislation. Principal tasks include undertaking inspections of proposed works, preparing reports and making recommendations to the Principal Tree Officer. Good report taking, customer service skills and good IT skills are required. Nature of contract: temporary. Length of contract: 3 months (at least).

  Admin/PA Staff for Local Authorities -
London & South East


All grades of office staff required for various long term, temporary office vacancies with local authorities in Central London and the South East. Previous council experience is beneficial although is not essential. Pay scale is dependent on role/experience. Manager -

Central London


Salary: £35,000 per annum. To work between three sites within the same locality in Central London. To manage all cleaning activities/ operations ensuring that the Key Performance Indicators, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction targets are achieved or increased thereby contributing to the business’s overall revenue profit goals set by the company. The role will be managing a multi function division and will be directly responsible for the Housekeeping team. To manage all aspects of the division and a team. Must be extremely flexible in approach and be prepared to work in highly pressured environments whilst remaining focused on the task at hand – always striving to deliver excellent customer derive in all departments. Management of 15-30 staff would also be required. Company phone and laptop will be provided. Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays.

  Reprographics Supervisor -
Central London


Salary: £28,500 plus a shift allowance of £1500. Working in the legal services sector. Advanced reprographics skills required; experience of supervising a team; experience of managing HR cases on site; excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to motivate others and develop an excellent team work ethic and environment. Hours: 7am-4pm and 2pm-11pm (shifts rotating each week). Bonus: Up to 5% per year. Contract type: Permanent.

Administrator -

Bromley


Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum depending on experience plus excellent benefits of 30 days holiday per annum including bank holidays, pension scheme, etc. The role is Monday to Friday full time, 37.5 hours per week, ideally 9am to 5:30pm each day but can do flexi if needed. Candidate will be working as part of a team of seven staff preparing client payrolls for over 1000 clients: dealing with Auto enrolment; dealing with clients by email and telephone; dealing with HMRC queries; IRIS payroll software (experience desirable but not essential). Previous payroll experience is essential. Type on contract: Permanent. Start date: August 2018 with interviews taking place w/c 9th July.

Sidcup


Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience). To work with a well established firm of insurers in the Sidcup (Kent) area. Main responsibilities: to manage insurance claims from beginning through to settlement; undertaking a range of loss adjusting activities; investigate potentially fraudulent claims; support the Cargo Claims department in the efficient and effective running of the department. Previous experience within an insurance environment and administrative experience is essential. CII certificate in Insurance is preferred but not essential. To start ASAP.

Salary: £17,027 - £22,220 per annum. Working full-time with an SEN school assisting in the general maintenance and servicing of the premises as and when required. A knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry or any other building craft would be highly desirable. Start date: ASAP.

Rate of pay: £9.25 per hour.
Office cleaners required to work with a large, financial institution in Central London near St. Paul’s. The successful candidates would be required to work either an early morning or a late night shift (no later than midnight). A basic or standard DBS check would be required.

Rate of pay: £8.00 per hour.

Hourly salary: £9.15 per hour. Staff required to work various hours in a corporate events-based environment. Waiting, front of house and catering staff required on a weekly basis.

Waterloo


£20,000 per annum plus 10% bonus scheme. To work for an outdoor advertising company in Waterloo. Main duties to include: the accurate raising and processing of invoices; ensuring stock levels are properly maintained; checking quality of artworks for advertising campaigns; dealing with oil company projects; compiling annual production reports and liaising with clients and customers over the phone and via email. A meticulous approach to work is required to be successful in this role as is a keen eye for detail. Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Start date: Early September 2018.



  Outbound Telesales Executive -
Waterloo


Salary: £10.50 per hour. Main duties are to include recording and gathering pedigree data from charities over the telephone, working with an Out of Home advertising company in Waterloo, South East London. Attention to detail, excellent telephone manner and IT literacy are paramount and previous use of CRM system is highly desirable. The ideal candidate must have a confident telephone manner and be able to relate to and empathise with people in an effective and communicative way. The role would be temporary in nature during the probation period before being made permanent. The role would involve a monthly commission bonus based on targets achieved.
