Tailor a CV to a specific job -
it is vital to ensure the script is relevant to each job application, rather than sending the same generic CV.

Keep it simple -
it should be easy to read and use active language. Two pages of A4 is enough with a mini profile included in the first half page of the CV.

Include key information -
personal details, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence should be clear. A date of birth is no longer needed, owing to age discrimination rules. A photo is only essential for jobs such as acting and modelling, otherwise it is a matter of choice.

Showcase achievements -
offer evidence of how targets were exceeded and ideas created, but always be honest.

Check and double check -
avoid sloppy errors, take a fresh look the next day and ask for a second opinion from a trusted friend or colleague.

Advisor -

King's Cross


Rate of pay: £12.86 per hour
Employment Adviser is required to support customers with a Learning Disability and customers with a Physical Disability to prepare for and find work. The ability to work in a person centred way is important, and to be able to use a range of communication methods to enable and empower customers to make informed choices in relation to work. Confidence and ability to contact employers to create person centred paid and unpaid roles for each customer and maintain excellent relationships with customers, employers and partners/colleagues is essential. Working with a local authority in King’s Cross, this is currently a 3 month temporary position with a view to an extension of the contract. NVQ level 3 Advice and Guidance preferred but not essential. Hours: Monday to Friday (9am until 5pm).

  Health & Safety Advisor -
Victoria


Rate of pay: £22.72 per hour.
To work within a local authority, located very near Victoria station. Tasks: to be able to undertake the following health and safety related tasks; experience of providing health and safety advice within education industry/sector; experience of planning, managing and undertaking BSI OHSAS 18001 audits within education industry/sector; experience of CLEAPPS and the provision of health and safety advice to head teachers and school governors on education related safety matters; undertaking accident and incident investigations involving children and preparing reports and recommendations on investigation findings; good IT skills; good communication skills; ability to prepare reports; attend health and safety committee meetings. Qualifications : NEBOSH Dip or Degree in H&S; BSI OHSAS 18001 Auditor; DBS clearance. Temporary role for at least 3 months. Hours: 9am until 5pm.



  Customer Service/ Administration
Assistant -

South Croydon


Salary: £15,000 - £18,000 per annum.
Responsibilities will range from answering inbound calls and dealing with customer queries to liaising with engineers and arranging annual services/breakdown response on our customer’s behalf. The successful candidate will need to accurately represent our company ethos both over the telephone and in person. Desirable candidates will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of the English language, polite telephone manner, be compassionate and have a desire to meet customers’ needs. To work and integrate in a growing department. Full training provided throughout employment - experience is by no means a requirement. Communication skills and attention to detail within the role are essential. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.



 



 
School Crossing Attendants -
Anerley, St. Paul’s Cray, Petts Wood, Farnborough, Bickley, Penge, Beckenham, Bromley & Sydenham

£9.63 per hour.
To work two hours a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The post would be suitable for a retired person or for somebody looking for additional income. Must have enhanced CRB/DBS check.

Cleaners -

Central London


Rate of pay: £9.25 per hour
Office cleaners required to work with a large, financial institution in Central London near St. Paul’s. The successful candidates would be required to work either an early morning or a late night shift (no later than midnight). A basic or standard DBS check would be required.

  Postroom
Operatives -

London (all areas)


Rate of pay: £8.00 per hour
Required in all areas of London on both a part time and full time temporary basis, to work within the postrooms of banks, solicitors and letting agents. Would suit students and people looking for additional part time work.

Advisors -

Croydon


Basic wage starts at £13,000 - £15,000 per annum dependent upon experience plus commission. Realistic and uncapped commission structure bringing OTE to £22,000 - £25,000 per annum.To work for a boiler company in Croydon. Desirable candidates will have: good communication skills; strong command of the English language; polite telephone manner; money-motivation; possess a hunger to achieve results. Experience in sales (either telephone or face to face) would be advantageous as the position you are applying for is target driven. Full training is provided throughout your employment however so experience is by no means a requirement. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:15 to 5:30.


  Admin/PA Staff for Local Authorities -
London & South East


All grades of office staff required for various long term, temporary office vacancies with local authorities in Central London and the South East. Previous council experience is beneficial although is not essential. Pay scale is dependent on role/experience. These positions are suitable for both graduates and experienced council administrators and are available on both a part time and full time basis.
